My Taste, My Priority

             My Taste, My Priority

Priority means the first thing first. It means the care, concern, interest, desire that comes before all others. It also means order of rank or positioning, special attention, matter of urgency etc. Taste here means the unconditional set of preference.
Many have been asked and are still answering series of questions like:
What do you value most?
What gives you ultimate joy?
What makes men valuable?
What do you long for in men?
What exactly is your life based on?
And lots more........
Note, at this point your life is your priority and your priority is your life( I pray you understand this). That is because without scale of preference in human activities, no headway!!!. Even God who is the sovereign one in creating the universe played out priority as seen in Genesis 1. And even the Holy book confirms it in Isaiah 28:10 that " For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little:...". No man jampacks activities together and expect substantial results without engaging the needful rules of preference. As it's said "jack of all trades, master of none".

What then is it about my life and organizing my priority for living??
In prioritizing your living, there are two germane factors to focus on , and they are;
*Your identity
*Your Activities
                          IDENTITY
Pertaining to the factor of identity, please read my earlier write up on "identifying your Identity". That article will be helpful in understanding this factor.
                          ACTIVITIES
Many people have tons of activities waiting to be done. Many have a list of events to make happen. But in a bit to make all these happen, many have run into irrecoverable ditch of life time. In prioritizing your living in relation to your activities, consider these two words, 'most important' and 'why is it important?'
How then do I prioritize my living in relation to my daily activities?

*Make a list
Here it's essential that you make the list of what is to be done, if not you will just be doing things at random and never make headway on a particular one. Having the list upstairs( your brain) is not enough, but to pen them down helps to prioritize your doings. Drafts are essential in proving the excellence of your commitment.

*Identify the urgent and the important ones
Never mistake the urgent for the important. Note that when an item enters into your to do list,it's a proof that it is important. That a matter is important does not mean it needs urgent attention at that particular time.
Urgency is a matter of life and not a matter of pleasure so to say for men. Percentage of importance on different items on your to-do list makes up the level of urgency.

*Value - weigh/balance them
Never be mistaken, you must ensure that the item that seems to be urgent must weigh and carry so much value for your living. Many have fallen victims of adding or attaching much value to items or activities that never add value to their lives.

*Trimming
After you itemize your activities, segregate them. It is important that you trim off the unnecessary ones so as not to be distracted by them. Do away with those items or activities that looks good but haven't passed the test of priority that you engaged. They are unwanted labor andand fruitless effort in disguise.

*Focus
After assessment of the urgency and value of the activities to be engaged in , focus is therefore expedient.
Under focus, you must engage your strength for your priority to produce substantial results and among them are:
Dedication
Determination
Enthusiasm and others
