THE CARNIVAL OF RELEVANCE
I'm sure you've heard of heroes day
I'm sure you know about Independence day
I'm sure you're aware of your city day
I'm sure you have experienced interhouse sport
I'm sure you have done graduation ceremony before
I'm sure you have celebrated your birthday before....
Carnival they say is the special occasion engrossed with diverse kind of apparels and all sort of entertainment coupled with different delicacies. So also, relevance means that something is not yet out of date.
What then is the carnival of relevance?
When we say carnival of relevance, we mean that a substance that is not yet out of date can be celebrated in a grand style filled with all sorts of entertainment as long as the substance remains relevant, even though the celebration may seems seasonal.
Do you know that you can become an icon of daily carnival or celebration, even though carnival they say is seasonal, but yours can be daily. What makes carnival to be seasonal is because of the element of time for its worth ( object of celebration) that speaks in the realm of time past. But do you know that your worth can continually speak in all spheres?. Do you know that the celebration of your relevance/worth can be everyday celebration, leaving the realm of carnival?. Yes, carnival is good but listen, do you know that carnival is only seasonal ( it may be once in a year )?, but daily celebration of your worth is the best!!!.
Men who through their lives lived worthily were good men, and men of this present age only remember them in certain seasons. Practical example is that of men who lived and navigated through struggle for democracy, religious matters, discrimination and so on. Where we see men like Awolowo, Nelson Mandela,etc obviously being celebrated for certain seasons. A recent example is that of the past Nigeria President named Umaru Musa Yaradua whose death clocked 10 years and Nigerians and other Africans remembered him and celebrated him for his patriotism.
But do you know that a man's relevance can escape the seasonal celebration while still living?. Obviously, men celebrate themselves for various seasons. One of the seasons is that of birthday. Have you ever asked yourself the reason why men celebrate your birthday and never celebrate you on other days?. The percentage of your relevance is the volume regulator/ key responsible for that, even while you are still living!!!.
Let's consider a man of old named Joseph in the Holy book for an example. Genesis 41 and beyond disclosed to us that the lifetime of Joseph was practically a life of celebration of relevance, because daily, men celebrated his worth and doings, even men from faraway countries. It was after his death that the celebration of his life became seasonal.
Why live a life of seasonal celebration, when you have the opportunity to be celebrated everyday?
You may now wonder that what then is the secret to being celebrated daily?. Yes, don't be deceived, the principal secret is daily adding value to your world. In your adding value, there are essentials to be engaged in, and among them are knowledge and persistency ( to mention a few).

Listen, every man has the opportunity and all it takes to be an icon to be reckoned with daily by all creatures, but what then is the missing link when some men live as if they have no existence or relevance among others?. Can I tell you that the missing link is knowledge. Some men are practically ignorant of their identities. He who have not yet gotten the definition of his own identity has no identification in the sand of destiny.
Why stand in your ignorance and allow it rule your world, when there's more to your identity to be explored and celebrated?
The world is awaiting your celebration, therefore explore your values.
