My Territory and My Influence ( Part 2 )
Influence as defined in the part one of this article is the ability to take control of a particular sphere or set of people. Also we saw influence as seed, as in the story of Maxwell and his family narrated in part one. Let us briefly check out the meaning of territory literally and also within the confine of this article's parlance.
Territory means an organised portion or area where people occupy and have controlling system to invoke responsibility for its daily function. Defining territory too in the context of this article is not far away from the literal meaning, but just that you need to see beyond the physical features around you.
Every man living on earth whether you believe or not have an iota of influence resident in him. But the issue is that many are not really aware but daily they are influencing people around whether positively or otherwise. Listen, you are loaded with investment of your creator and he has sent you as his ambassador to take territories for him with what he has given you. There is cry that you are to occupy territories on his behalf till he comes as seen in the Holy book Luke 19:13 "And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, occupy till I come..............". The extract of the holy book denotes that every of your giftings and potentials are needed in territories so that you can find fulfilment before your sent generation and maker.
Territorial Influence can be seen from the casual and purpose angle, but the two have indelible marks to make in sand of time. Casual influence can be seen in several instances like that of influences when it comes to the influence of social, religion, and all spheres of life. Note that we may refer to this category to be casual ( normal activities and their effect on us), but we must know that these influences are the factors ruling the territories we occupy today. But in this article, we shall be dwelling more on the purpose angle of influence.
Every man is an amplifier of a voice. Your coming to that territory or you finding yourself here is not an accident, therefore fetch out the influence you were sent to make in that territory. When we talk about influencing your territory here,we are not about influencing a location like maybe the capital city of your country or state, your street or your home town, yes, those locations are embedded in the territories we will soon espouse, but I tell you it's beyond those locations. Activities that men engage in, in that location you are thinking about are similar to the activities that goes on in all locations.
What then do we mean by these territories??.
Loren Cunningham (YWAM) and Bill Bright (Campus Crusade & Life Ministry ) through their study of men and their activities ( all sorts of engagement) classified the territories that men occupy when it comes to them playing out different roles in their living ( but all men can't perform the same task, decentralization is essential) to the territory or mountain of ;
Government representing power;
Economy representing riches;
Education representing wisdom;
Religion representing honor;
Arts and Entertainment representing glory;
Media representing blessings;
Family representing building.
Before we move on on locating your territory, let's check out some of these facts:
You are sent to deliver what is within you to a territory.
Your true fulfilment is found when you are in your right territory.
Your territory is waiting for your rescue mission.
Your territory is where you will be enthroned, if you are enthroned in other territories outside yours, you will soon crash and have no landmark.
Generations are waiting for your pattern.
Your failure to appear in your territory is a failure of destiny fulfilment.
Your endorsement and accreditation is tied to the territory you are sent to.
Exploit outside the territory you are sent to is enthronement in pool of destiny failure.
You are the messiah your territory is waiting for.
Listen, you have been given a slot for influence in that territory but the ball is in your court whether you will use the investment inside of you well or not.
The territories are the right circumference for destiny fulfilment !!!.
How then do I locate my own territory/ mountain of influence??
The core navigation for locating your own mountain of influence is your purpose in life. You are launched out by the creator for a special and specific assignment in a predetermined territory/ mountain. In checking out your purpose, check out your passion too. If you are called and you are passionate about busineses, it may be a pointer that your mountain of influence is the economy, likewise if you are called or passionate about leadership, and people have been yielding themselves to you to be led, it may be that you belong to the mountain of government. You can look inward and search through what it is about your purpose and passion in life, then when you get this, it is a pointer to locate your own mountain of influence on time and stay there for life transforming influence as ordained by your creator.
