3. Haste

       It was on a Monday morning, Mr Michael had prepared during the weekend for a meeting he will having with business partners from another company who were ready to strike a deal with his own company. Due to the unrelenting preparation over the weekend, he woke up very late that Monday morning. He hastily took his bathe, dressed up and was set for work. Thinking he had set and filed all his documents ready in a briefcase of his, he ignited the car's engine and headed to his workplace. The meeting schedule was 9am but he left for office at 8:45am because he woke up so late even though his house to his office is 45 minutes drive. He drove so hurriedly to his office beating and cutting every hurdles of traffic so as to make it to the meeting as planned.

       He was able to drive so hurriedly that he arrived at the office around 9:10am. Upon his arrival the other partners were already set for the meeting. He then quickly entered and sat down on his chair. After series of official greetings and introduction, it was time for the deal. Mr Michael then took his briefcase to bring out the documents he had worked on during the weekend but unfortunately he had forgotten some of the vital documents while rushing down to the office to meet with time thinking all the documents were already in the briefcase whereas he left them on his desk in his reading room. Because of the importance of these missing documents, the meeting was cancelled. The other business partners were annoyed, claiming that Mr Michael gathered them on Monday morning just to waste their time. They then told Mr Michael and other officials of his company that the deal with them can no longer be possible because of their lackadaisical attitude and lack of professionalism. The rest of the whole day for Mr Michael and his officials was nothing worth it.


Haste is excessive speed
Haste means hury
Haste is swiftness
Haste is a matter of urgency


Haste could be channeled rightly or wrongly but apparently the manner of haste with humanity always end up in undesired outcome unknowingly dishing off importance and accuracy.


      Haste will always give you a sense of sensual accomplishments but sincerely there exist an internal imprisonment of potentials and values.
Haste do count the number of things achieved in a quick manner never minding the importance or weight of the so called achievements as regards the assignment at hand. Mr Michael was happy that he was able to beat the traffic and arrived at the office in time, but absolutely neglected to ensure that the important documents which were the reasons for the meeting are properly set in place.
You would think you have been able to match up with time in your physical doings and pursuit but at the end you will realize how that you have left so many important things undone.
Haste could at times lock up potentials, importance, values, opportunities and then exalt less important things or even frivolities.

     Haste has no sense of perfect understanding of importance.
No sense of perfect understanding ends in wrong decision and appropriation.
Wrong decision or appropriation seem to be master booster in getting things done but,
Activities wrongly fast tracked always end up in a lock up manner.
When the essentials are hooked during the haste, the personality would be hooked definitely.
Whenever a personality is being hooked at a particular time, serious and benefiting life opportunities may bypass him.
A hooked personality in the school of relevance is always considered to be a supposed relevant icon but haste has eaten up its relevance.


      Preparations are ultimately expedient
Expedient material is a must factor in an equation.
It is important that you get your ready for the upcoming assignments in life wholeheartedly.
In getting yourself ready, readiness of documents and materials are not enough, let your  state also be set to fit in for the assignment.
But what if the student refuses to input the expedient factor in solving the equation? He may be quick in getting the answer but apparently the answer will be wrong.
To be duly ready in materials is good but what if the student is not mentally ready to fit in the materials?

      I still remember sometimes when I desire to pen down some things; examinations, note writing in classroom and even article writing. There were times where because I wanted to be fast with the writing, my hand velocity in writing what my brain was decoding will always end me up in omitting some important words and points. Without knowing that I have omitted these points and words, I do submit or send the written notes to the appropriate person. Then after few minutes, hours or even days, whenever I read through the written notes, I do observed that in my haste to get the note written, I always make serious mistakes and these mistakes at times would render the whole article or part of it meaningless or not too charming.

How do I escape the cage of imprisonment made by haste?

To make speed is very much a good thing.
But speed made without sense of the necessaries in place always send the maker into the imprisonment of values and potentials.
Therefore in your speed, run with the necessaries for your life well-being and purpose fulfilment.
